They studied, applied, and got accepted.
What stands in the way is cost.
Ajialouna US supports students who have proven their potential and just need the means to continue.
PROGRAMS
OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Our education scholarship program offers financial support to high-achieving undergraduate students in Lebanon who have demonstrated both academic excellence and financial need.
Our selection process is rigorous, because what follows is bigger than a degree. It’s a bright future built by someone who got their chance.
This is not just a scholarship. Every student we support commits to paying it forward – in their careers, their communities and the next generation. What we are building toward: We are starting with a focus on education – where the need is urgent and the impact is immediate and lasting.
Over time, we aim to expand into healthcare access, women’s economic empowerment, and cross-border academic opportunities.
We can help with that. Ajialouna US acts as a structured giving vehicle for donors who wish to direct funds to specific initiatives run by our sister organization. Every contribution is documented and reported.
The Tomooh Scholarship
Est. 2006
Launched in 2006 in partnership with PepsiCo to assist students facing financial hardships and enrolled in universities across Lebanon.
In the wake of the 2019 economic crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the August 4 explosion, the gap between household income and education costs widened dramatically. Ajialouna responded by expanding its support and launching two additional programs: Save Our Students (SOS) and Ajialouna Support.
Partnerships have included:
Google · Kreidieh Fund · Abu Issa Fund · LIFE (LEEF Fund) · X-Patria · MyRiad Canada · LEAP · and others
Please note: donations made directly to organizations in Lebanon are not eligible for U.S. tax deductions. By giving through Ajialouna US, a registered 501(c)(3), your contribution is fully tax-deductible while still reaching the programs you care about.
IMPACT
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN OPPORTUNITY IS FUNDED
We measure our impact in our graduates, in careers launched, in communities strengthened, in economic growth, and in the next student who gets the same chance the last one did.
Why education. Why now:
We’re living in unprecedented times. Lebanon’s per capita income has collapsed over the past decade. University enrollment has dropped. Talented young people are staying without a path forward. Or being pushed out of the system completely.
But when people have the opportunity for higher education, we see the data move. Career outcomes improve. Families stabilize. Economies begin to recover. This is not charity. It is a philanthropic investment in our people and the bright future they will shape.
