OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Our education scholarship program offers financial support to high-achieving undergraduate students in Lebanon who have demonstrated both academic excellence and financial need.
Our selection process is rigorous, because what follows is bigger than a degree. It’s a bright future built by someone who got their chance.
This is not just a scholarship. Every student we support commits to paying it forward – in their careers, their communities and the next generation. What we are building toward: We are starting with a focus on education – where the need is urgent and the impact is immediate and lasting.
Please note: donations made directly to organizations in Lebanon are not eligible for U.S. tax deductions. By giving through Ajialouna US, a registered 501(c)(3), your contribution is fully tax-deductible while still reaching the programs you care about.
The Tomooh Scholarship
Est. 2006
Launched in 2006 in partnership with PepsiCo to assist students facing financial hardships and enrolled in universities across Lebanon.
In the wake of the 2019 economic crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the August 4 explosion, the gap between household income and education costs widened dramatically. Ajialouna responded by expanding its support and launching two additional programs: Save Our Students (SOS ) and Ajialouna Support.

How the Program Works
The Toumouh Agreement outlines a structured and ethical selection and implementation process that Ajialouna follows for the US-funded program:
Application Phase
- Applicants submit through Ajialouna's digital portal.
- Must be Lebanese, aged 18–23, with strong academic records and demonstrable financial need.
- Special provisions are made for students with disabilities or exceptional medical histories (e.g., cancer survivors ).
Selection Phase
- A grading rubric (28-point scale) evaluates social status (13 pts) and academic performance (15 pts).
- Applications are reviewed by a selection committee including an academic leader and Ajialouna representatives.
- Final approvals are issued transparently, with a waiting list system in place.
Issue & Follow-Up
- Scholarships are paid directly to universities, ensuring transparency.
- Ajialouna tracks academic progress and reallocates any unused funds to students on the waitlist.
- All recipients agree to compliance terms and regular check-ins.
